Loki sat in the café where he had been meeting his college friend, Suzanne, for the past five months. He didn't attend the school of course but this girl he'd been meeting up with had. They met by random chance when she bumped into him. She was very apologetic and he found that he wasn't as upset with her as he usually was with the mortals on Earth. So here he was in New York City waiting for this silly girl.

When he heard the sound of the café's bell that hung on the corner of the door, he knew she had finally arrived. "Hey Gabriel, sorry if I'm late. My class went over time by 5 minutes."

The god smiled his charming smile at the girl. "It's quite alright. I haven't been waiting long. How was class?" He had lied about his name. She had moved to New York some time after his initial plot to rule the Earth and yet, while she knew of the Avengers, she didn't know of his true identity. He had escaped of course and had come back to start plotting a new scheme. He had been doing things without her knowledge and as far as he knew, she wasn't even the tiny bit suspicious. Then again, how could she? He had been there at 3pm, every day of the week to meet up with her for the last five months. Today was just another day.

"Mythology class was fine. It was interesting today." She replied to him.

"Oh? What did you study today?" He had become quite curious about her daily life. It was a genuine curiosity.

"We went over Norse Mythology." He raised an eyebrow at the news. 'Oh dear, this shall be interesting. Probably is thrilled with my brother's stories.' He thought coldly to himself. Sure he didn't lead the most flattering of lives but it was fruitful in his opinion.

The girl couldn't help but giggle. How he loved it. Wait love? 'I am Loki god of Mischief; I cannot love anything about her!' He shook the thought from his head.  "How did you like it?" He asked.

"I thought it was rather interesting. I think my favorite Norse God is Loki." He raised both eyebrows in surprise.

"Suzanne, if I might ask, what did you like so much about him?" He asked smiling and half laughing.

The college student blushed a bit. "Well, he might be open legged a lot but…" He frowned at that comment but didn't say anything. "But," she said holding a finger up signaling to give her a moment, "there is something about him. I don't know. I like him a lot." She hugged her book and looked away from Loki. 'How serendipitous this is.' He smiled brightly thinking to himself. She looked at him curious.

"You think I'm weird for liking this Norse God, don't you?" She asked weakly. She didn't understand this. 'Gabriel is so nice to me. He's out of my age range probably even though he doesn't look past thirty. He does care about me but that's the thing. Why?' Loki looked at the mortal who seemed lost. His smile faded for a moment as he leaned across the small table and put a hand on her cheek.

"Look at me," he turned her head so that she was facing him and her brown eyes followed, "I don't think it's weird." She smiled a small smile. "Come on now, you doubt yourself again." She was always amazed by this man. "Don't. Don't ever doubt yourself." She nodded her head. He let go and smiled at her. "That's my girl." A light shade of pink dusted her cheeks as she took a sip of her tea.

They sat there for a couple of hours talking about the different myths of Norse Gods. Suzanne was amazed by all that he knew. As far as she was concerned Gabriel was the best thing to happen to her. Though, as they talked Loki started to wonder what would happen when he finally told her the truth. He planned on doing it soon. He could sense that his time on Earth under the radar was about to end. Especially once Thor came back to Earth. He looked outside and noticed it was getting dark and fast. 'Damn these winter months. Had it been spring I could just let her go on her own…no wait, damn these mortal like emotions' he cursed at himself mentally. Suzanne took note of this and looked at him. "Is there something wrong Gabriel?"

He looked at her. "Oh no, I was just thinking that it's getting dark. The streets can be dangerous for one such as you." She looked away.

"I'll be fine. Not even the criminal element takes note of me." Loki shook his head. Oh if only she knew what happened last week? That's what has been bugging him. He killed a man who attempted to jump and rape her while she was walking home. He had used his powers to kill him instantly. He knew Thor was not far behind so he had to act quickly. He stood and offered his hand. "Come on Suzanne, let's get you home. You can work on your stuff there." She shoved her notebook into her shoulder bag and took his hand and stood.

As they started for her little apartment, Loki walked silently next to her trying to figure out what he was going to do. He then took note of Suzanne who was shivering. "Have you no adequate clothing for these months?" He asked as he stopped them. She looked at him.

"I do but I thought today wouldn't be so bad. For the most part it wasn't. I just didn't consider the night." He shook his head smiling. She was cute when she was like this. She hailed from a southern state and thought she could handle the winter here. 'It's just like back home' she'd always tout. He took his scarf off and wrapped it around Suzanne's neck. She was shocked and blushed some. She had stopped shivering for the most part.

"T-th-thank you Gabriel" He smiled and wrapped an arm around her before continuing down the street.

"It's my pleasure Suzanne" he stated sweetly. Maybe his ice heart had melted. He needed her for one night and one night only. Then he could continue with his ultimate plan.

They arrived at her apartment building. Loki was always astounded at how shabby the red brick building looked on the outside but the apartments themselves were nice.  Once they were up the two flights of steps it took to get to her flat, she unlocked the door and invited Loki in. She didn't have a bad place. Two bedrooms, though the spare room is more of a library but she did put a futon in there for guest.  The living room was small but comfortable and the kitchen, while right there in plain sight with only a small island dividing the living room from the kitchen, it was actually good size. 'Yes, everything should work out perfectly.' He knew of the job that kept this place paid for but every now and then he'd find some way, mainly through enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D, to pay for some of her bills that she'd get behind on.

"Did you want something to eat Gabriel?" She asked him popping her head out of her room. He had been lost in thought for a while. He'd almost forgotten where he was.

"No my dear, I'm fine." He took his coat off and wandered into her library. He started to look through her shelf, looking at all of the Mythology books that she had. He knew of her fascination with it. He smiled when he saw a Norse Mythology anthology. He then looked at the shelf below reminding him of her intended major. She was a history buff who could tell you different things about Europe. He chuckled when he remembered the time she used her Hetalia magnets to help him better understand one of the conflicts that went on between England and France. She had the imagination of a child but with an adult mind. She knew when to tear herself from fantasy land and live in reality.

Suzanne stood in the doorway watching Loki flip through one of her WWI books. She leaned against the door frame, arms crossed over her chest. She smiled at the sight. She wouldn't admit it out loud but she had developed crush on her friend. She could never be open to him about it, she was afraid to lose him. It was a miracle that he put up with her and her weirdness. Though, she did find it odd that he didn't look at anyone else and she meant anyone. At first she thought he was gay but when she realized that he didn't even look at men. All of his attention was focused on her.

"Hey, it's pretty late; did you want to stay over?" She asked softly. He turned to look at her.

Loki closed the book that was in his hands and put it back carefully. "Why not?" He responded. Suzanne just smiled and went into her room. "If you need some clothes to sleep in, I should have some stuff that'll fit you." Loki shook his head. Her wardrobe consisted of men's clothing and women's clothing. He didn't understand what would go through her head but he knew she had stuff that would fit him. "I've stayed here before love; I know you have clothes that'll fit." She smacked her palm to her forehead.

"Duh! That's right; you have stayed here before haven't you?" He's stayed here a good handful of times. The first time he wouldn't forget. She had just been dumped by her ex-boyfriend and he didn't trust her being alone at night and out of his sight. She'd been hurt badly and had insisted that he stayed. After much argument she allowed him to stay and coaxed her to sleep that night. Though he admits now that he understood where she was coming from. They had known each other for less than a month.  She brought him a tank top and some sweatpants for him to wear for the night. He took it from her and put it on the futon.

"I'll change later if that's alright." Suzanne nodded. She then went back to the living room and started on her Mythology report. Loki joined her shortly afterwards. She seemed frustrated by this project of hers. He picked up the paper that gave the instructions on what her professor wanted. "This is pretty clear Suzanne, so what's the problem?" He asked as his friend was about to throw her hands up in frustration. She took a deep breath.

"The problem is I don't know what I want to do my report on. There is so much to choose from and so many different ways the paper could go."  He placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Calm down, how about you start with your favorite Norse god? Or how about your least favorite? So, that maybe you learn more about them." There was a spark of realization when he spoke his words.

"Of course, that would make it simple to do the favorite but if I do my least favorite it'll be more work but, it'll be rewarding as well and maybe the paper would be non bias because it's not like I hate them."  She was happy when she came to this realization.

He smiled brightly and scooted closer to her. "So, which one is your least favorite?"

She fiddled with her pencil. "Um, Loki's brother, Thor…" He wanted to throw his head back and laugh maniacally, but he resisted.

"Why's that?" He asked trying not to laugh.

"I dunno really. I just never found him appealing." Either way, he helped her with her outline. Once she finished writing down her last talking point for the paper she set it aside.  They had scooted closer to each other as her research went. Suzanne was impressed by his knowledge of the Norse Mythology. It was almost like he lived it! 'But, that's impossible, even Loki wouldn't find a plain jane type girl like me attractive.' She thought to herself. Loki tucked some of her loose hair behind her ear.

"You're doing it again."

"Doing what?" She asked trying not to blush.

He sighed. "You doubt yourself my dear. Don't. You're wonderful at what you do." He smiled at her as he watched her brown eyes light up a bit. "That's my girl. You graduate this December correct?" He asked her. He wasn't sure but he was curious.

"Y-yeah, one week after finals I graduate why?" He looked over to the calendar.

"So I take it this paper of yours is your final for your mythology class?" Suzanne nodded.

"Yep, I hand this in and I'm done with that class. I have two finals before I hand in that paper but they're both my history classes." Loki wrapped his arm around Suzanne's waist.  She couldn't help but let her cheeks turn red as she blushed madly.

"I've been meaning to say something to you for a long time. But I would like to know if maybe the day after your finals I could stay the night and we'll talk then?" Suzanne nodded. How could she say no?  "Excellent." He kissed her forehead. He hugged her and held her for a moment as the gears in his head turned in thought. "What are you planning to do though once you're done? You couldn't possible keep your job at that shop you're at now once you're done. You're simply too brilliant." He didn't like where she worked in the mornings before school. He walked by the shop she was at one time to see what it was and was simply disgusted. Those frilly things weren't her. The uniform she had to wear didn't suit her either. 'By Odin I have taken quite a fancy to her' he realized this but it was too late to back down.

"I have already put in for a job at the library here and the National Museum." She looked at Loki and saw he was puzzled by something. "Hey, are you alright Gab?"

He snapped out of his thoughts when she called him by his 'nickname'. She didn't usually call him that unless she was extremely concerned.

"I'm alright, I just got lost in thought is all." Suzanne nodded. She packed her stuff up and cleared her coffee table.

"That's alright." He needed to ask her now. He didn't really court her so to speak but all in all, they had become extremely close. While they didn't do the 'usual mortal things' he enjoyed her company and took her for what she was.

"Hey Suzanne, I was wondering if maybe we could share your bed tonight." She was stunned.

'Me, sleep with Gabriel? Wait, why do I hesitate? I've shared the same bed as him before…but what if…' She shook the 'other' thoughts from her mind and smiled sheepishly. "Um, well if the futon is busted then sure but if not…" Loki flicked his finger towards the spare room. There was a loud thud sounds from the room suddenly and Suzanne went to go check on it. "Oh no…I can't afford another one, at least not until next week." She came out and looked at her friend. "Alright, you can sleep with me but only because the futons busted." She sighed in defeat. Loki stood up and walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her.

"Don't worry love; I won't try to do anything to you alright?" He kissed her forehead again and went to retrieve the clothes she grabbed for him so he could change. 'This is gonna be a long night' she groaned to herself.
~

The next week Suzanne and Loki still met up at the café where he would help her with her paper and let her study in peace. He hadn't realized how close her finals were until she worded her answer to him from the other night in a way that sounded like her graduation was close. He was proud of her though. She was going to pass with flying colors and start bettering her life. Though, he was still worried. He had used small amounts of magic here and there to convince her to bend her will to him so to speak without her actually knowing that's what she was doing.

The fact that Thor hadn't made an appearance is what shocked him. Though, he wouldn't show it. No, he would blow his cover and Suzanne would see him for the real monster he is. He didn't like that thought but, he now knew that she was comfortable sleeping in bed with him (seeing as this last week he had insisted on helping her with her studies thus making it so he'd spend the night with her and her futon is still busted). He was only one step away from his big reveal and the chance to court her to bed and make love to her. He needed to do this so he'd have a true connection on Earth. One that; is of blood relation. Sure, there had been others in the past but to be honest, this woman would be a fit mother. She was stubborn, strong, beautiful, and more importantly she had a heart that could melt even his.

The week of her finals was tough. She had three classes but the two exams she had to take were both three hours long versus the usual two. She looked beat by the time she would meet up with him. He would let her relax for a moment and grab something to eat and drink. He knew this was the best thing to do since watching her go through it with her summer finals. He would then help her with the final touches for her paper. Once she was satisfied enough with it she saved the file and shut her laptop down just wanting to go home and have nothing to do with technology. Loki smiled when she made her statement.

"You're sick of your laptop aren't you?" He knew that this computer was the bane of her existence right now. She nodded weakly as her sleep deprived mind was losing all of the adrenaline that she had for the exam. He chuckled lightly. "Come, let's get you home." He stood and offered his hand which she gratefully took.

During the walk to her apartment she tried not to lean on him too much. She didn't want him to carry her. Once they got there however, she shed her coat and boots and went straight for the couch. Once the god took off his outer wear he sat on the couch beside her curled up body. Suzanne had gotten comfortable enough that once he sat down, she stretched out so that her head was on his lap and her legs were the only part of her body curled up. He couldn't help but smile at the sleeping girl. He stroked her hair for a while before he continued the novel that he had been reading before leaving that morning.

A couple hours later Suzanne woke up and saw that Loki had fallen asleep as well. She smiled. She carefully got up and went to change into something more comfortable only to realize she was stuck with shorts and a tank top. 'Looks like I'm doing laundry soon' she thought to herself as she got changed.  She made sure to keep a clean set of clothes for Gabriel if anything. She finished changing and went to her spare room/library to start looking for something light to read to take her mind off the stress she's endured over the last few days with studying. 'Once I turn that paper on Thor in I am so done with school' she thought to herself. She found a book and started to read it a bit before she felt someone's arms wrap around her waist. She squeaked in surprise and turned to see who it was.

"Come now love, you need to rest. You've been stressing yourself for these last few days and you need your rest." He gently took the book from her hands and placed it back on her shelf. She sighed in defeat and leaned on him. He stroked her hair relaxing her completely. 'That's it, rest now love for tomorrow will be the day I act. You will definitely need your rest.' He smiled at her devilishly while she wasn't looking and kissed the top of her head. "Let's get you to bed." He said to her sweetly as he led her to her bedroom.

The next day when Suzanne woke up, Loki informed her that he would stop by later because he had business to take care of across town. They weren't going to meet up at the café because she would be done within minutes and he didn't think it fair for her to wait so long.

She went to the Universities library first to print her paper out and then gave it to her professor. He said to have a nice Christmas break and with that she was done for the semester. She looked around for a moment to see if she saw her friend Natasha, someone she had actually formed a friendship with willingly over the semester. She shrugged when she didn't see her and assumed she came in early so that she could spend time with her boyfriend.

She was happy as could be and felt free when she left the building. Graduation was next Tuesday and she couldn't wait. She then remembered her cap and gown and hurried to the bookstore to pick it up. With the bag containing the stuff in tow, she walked across campus humming to a small tune to her. She took notice of two men talking rather loudly…or at least the one did. She recognized him as Tony Stark, and the guy sitting next to him, she wasn't sure. They had one of his tablets out looking at a picture that looked an awful lot like Gabriel.

'That can't be. No, this has to be coincident.' She walked up to them as the picture taken off the screen. Steve Rogers saw the girl as he was turning around.

"Hello there, can we help you?" He was very polite.

Suzanne shook her head getting herself back to reality. "Um, no I'm sorry. I thought I saw a picture of someone I know that's all." Tony nods.

"Ah, you think we had a picture of your friend up or something?" He asked pretty confused. They just had a picture of Loki up. What would this average girl know?

"It couldn't be. I just got a brief glimpse anyway so my mind probably was playing tricks on me. I mean, I haven't slept a full night due to exams, you know how that is." As she spoke Tony held his Tablet in such a way that the camera installed in it could take pictures. She pushed a loose strand of her darkening brown hair back behind her ear. It was as if she was hiding something or just nervous.

"If you gentlemen would excuse me, I would like to go home and get some rest before I graduate next week." She waved goodbye to both and trotted off in the opposite direction. She couldn't get what had just happened out of her mind. Tony and Steve looked at the picture Tony's tablet took and had it start a background check on her.

She arrived at her apartment and found it was still empty. She sighed missing her friends company but went to grab something to eat and start her laundry to pass the time. Once her laundry was done and everything was put away. She sat in her spare room reading up on some Greek Mythology trying to pass the time when she heard her door open. She felt her heart race for a moment before she remembered that Gabriel has a spare key. She calmed herself as she set her book down and went to the living room to greet him.

"Gabriel, I was starting to won-"she cut herself off when she saw that he was leaning against her door, head down as if preparing himself for something. "Gabriel?" She asked softly. Suzanne didn't go near him, she stayed where she stood. He finally looked up to reveal a very charming smile but it was different…more mischievous? She couldn't say sinister or evil that would be taking it too far.

He figured that now was best. Loki looked at the girl and walked towards her slowly. He changed into his armor as he approached her. Suzanne backed up into the wall as an attempt to get away. She couldn't believe what she just witnessed.  Loki noticed the fear in her eyes. "Now love you're stronger than that, do not fear." He said in a sincere voice. 'You just used magic in front of me and you tell me not to fear?' she thought quietly to herself. She finally found her voice.

"W-wh-who are you?" she stumbled through the first word showing the fear in her voice. He laughed.

"I my darling. I am Loki" Suzanne's eyes widened. 'No, that's impossible!'

"Y-you, you can't be. He's jus-"Loki cut her off.

"A myth? No Suzanne, I am quite real. I am Loki of Asgard. I am the god of mischief." He approached her as he grinned. She found herself trapped. She looked at him, not believing what was going on. She was in the denial stage at this point. 'This can't be happening.  I'm dreaming this is just a nightmare that I need to wake up from.' She shut her eyes tight and opened them again to see that he was still there. He stood in front of her looking into her brown eyes. Those same ones that trapped him back when they encountered one another. She was trembling a bit. "Shh, I won't hurt you." He wrapped his arms around her waist like he did last night. He held her for a moment looking into her eyes and letting her mind process everything.

'If he is Loki, then that means, that means he's been lying to me.' She felt a stray tear roll down her cheek. He whipped it away and was concerned. "What's the matter?" He asked sweetly. Suzanne shook her head and tried to push him away. Though, that was fruitless because one she was cornered and two he was much stronger than her. "Get away from me!" she yelled at him. He didn't move he frowned at this.

"Now why would I do that?" He lifted her chin so that she'd look at her. His voice was calm and steady. This scared her a bit.

"You've lied to me. Everything you've said to me was a lie! How else am I suppose to react?!" She was angry with him now. She wasn't sure if it was normal to go through these emotions so rapidly. There was a bit of sadness mixed in with her anger. A couple more tears escaped but she refused to fully cry. Not in front of the one man who said that she was strong. 'That was probably the biggest lie' she thought solemnly. Loki whipped the stray tears from her cheeks and looked at her.

"Listen to me. I have only lied about my identity. Nothing more, I am sorry for keeping you in the dark like I have." He wasn't sure how to prove to her that he was telling her the truth about what he lied about. He pulled her close to him. Her hands rested on his chest and she looked at it for a moment. He then kissed her cheek softly. She looked at him. "Believe me. I will lie to you no more, for I know that from now on, you will be safe. I lied to protect you." He then very gently kissed her lips. She was shocked by this sudden move. Though, her anger, sadness and denial started to ebb away as she kissed him back, and wrapped her arms around his neck.  He broke the kiss and held her close to him. Suzanne places her head on his chest as he began to stroke her hair.

"Tonight will be one I promise you will never forget." He was right. Suzanne was just shocked at how fast everything went from that moment on.

~

Suzanne woke up the next morning alone in bed and in severe pain. She wasn't a virgin when she met Loki but at the same time, she was in pain like she was one. She remembered last night clearly but knew there was something she couldn't remember. It was from earlier in the morning when she was half awake. She vaguely remembered seeing him kneel down to her eye level. He said something to her. But what it was she couldn't recall. She wished she could.

~

Over the next month, Suzanne had graduated from her college, secured a job at the New York City Public Library as a researcher of history, and dabbles with some mythology research from time to time. She hadn't touched her Norse Mythology book since Loki revealed his true identity. She was surprised that she didn't try to call him by the name he had originally given her. Maybe her heart actually knew and her head was in denial. It would make sense considering how long she's known the Norse myths. Either way, she was trying to focus on her job and tries to keep him out of her mind. Though it seemed like about every other day, she would wake up and the entire day long she wouldn't feel too well. She didn't want to go to the doctors for it wasn't too severe. Though, she had a suspicion.

She didn't get a chance to prove her suspicion one afternoon because she was asked to go to the Avengers tower for questioning. She was escorted from her job at the library and taken to the tower by Agent Barton. The ride was quiet and she was watched closely until she was on the floor where the other Avengers sat. She immediately recognized Tony of course and the guy that was with him that day she saw them. She was now sure that the picture they had up was of Loki. Tony introduced the gang and apologized for Thor's absence.

"Now, back to business" Fury started. He always tried to look intimidating but Suzanne wasn't. She stood her ground. "What was your relationship with Loki?" He asked looking at her as if she'd crack and spill his plans.

"It was a strict friendship. I've known him for 5 months." She was being truthful. Tony spoke up.

"Now, we met the other day. You're a very bright girl. So, if Loki saw this in you, then maybe he told you of his plans?" Steve looked at Tony with an expression that said 'You're going too fast on the questions.'

Suzanne sighed in frustration and explained how she met him and everything up until his vanished. Nick Fury seemed pleased with this. They ruled her out as a potential accomplice. They dismissed her much to Tony's protest. He kept asking where Thor was. 'What do they think he'll do? Beat the answer out of me?' she thought bitterly. Dr. Banner offered to see her out. Once they were in the elevator she asked a favor of him.

"Dr. Banner, I know medicine isn't your specialty but could you do me a minor favor?" She was nervous.

"I don't see why not. What is it?" He was a bit concerned. She was this stubborn girl in the lounge and now, she's about to cry it seemed.

"Could you perform a test for me and not tell any of the other Avengers? If it's…positive I'll tell Thor myself. He would deserve to know, and would deserve to hear it from me." Banner nodded in acknowledgement and led her to his lab. Once her suspicion was confirmed she wasn't sure what to do now. "Would you like someone to escort you? Agent Romanoff perhaps?" Suzanne shook her head.

"No, I know her; she'll tag along and stay with me the entire night. She's a good friend but, I just need to be alone. Thank you though." With that she left. Natasha came in right afterwards.

"You sent for me?" Banner nodded and sighed. "You know her?" he asked.

"Yes, she and I shared a class together this semester. We were in Mythology together. Why?" She looked at the screen. While she kept her composure her eyes grew wide in shock and she started to curse in Russian. "Best not tell the others. For now" Banner nodded at the comment. He trashed and locked the picture that showed the small fetus that was developing inside of Suzanne.  Everyone would learn in due time but right now, Banner and Romanoff knew she needed time to think.

~

Later that night Suzanne sat on her couch head in her hands. She had just stopped crying. 'Why did he do this? Why did he leave me alone like this?' She had been asking these questions over and over again for the last two hours. She was startled by the soft knocking at her door. "I-it's open" she weakly squeaked.

A tall man with blonde hair and blue eyes came in. He looked at the woman sorrowfully. She got a good look at him. "I take it you're Thor? Loki's brother?" she asked starting to regain her composure.

"That I am. I take it you are my brother's lover?" She shook her head as the anger started to swell up again.

"I wouldn't say 'lover' so much as I would call him a bastard. He sleeps with me and then leaves me pregnant." Not the way she wanted to break the news but, oh well. He knows at least.

Thor closed the door gently and sat down next to her wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "I wouldn't say that. If he had known that anything bad would happen to you, he wouldn't have put you into this position." He tried to comfort her and he knew it wasn't working but he continues. "I talked to the other Avengers today after they questioned you. They said that you were stubborn, strong willed and independent. Had you not had these qualities, I don't think Loki would've stuck around. I think he truly cares for you."

Suzanne buried her head into her hands again. This time she tried to recall her memory from that morning. It had been so long ago but she tried whenever she could. Thor looked at her clearly worried. "Suzanne, I know my brother cares for you and I might be bold to say that he might…" She cut him off when she lifted her head, eyes wide with shock as she remembered what he said before he left.

"'I love you'" she looked at the god of thunder. "D-do you think he really feels that way?" she wasn't sure. Her mind could be playing tricks.

"I'm sure of it. I wouldn't doubt you." As soon as he said that, Loki's voice echoed in her mind saying that exact phrase he always told her when she doubted herself. 'Don't, do not ever doubt yourself.' She smiled and hugged Thor. He held her for a moment. He then stood knowing that while his visit was short, he'd see her again. He wanted to protect her now. "I'll have Natasha check up on you tomorrow. Is that alright?" she nodded her brown hair getting into her face. "That's fine. She's a good friend of mine to start with and she's going to have to find out anyway." Thor nodded knowing what she meant. He then left Suzanne alone in her apartment. She yawned and decided to go to bed.

As she laid there she was thinking about him again. As she did every night, she remembered everything they did. She had a faint smiled on her lips as she rolled onto her side and started to close her eyes. "Just remember, I will always protect you." She heard his voice and shot up looking for him. He sounded like he was in the room. She lay back down and smiled again. She knew he would. Though, there was something she wasn't going to mention in front of Thor, that same morning he had asked her if she loved him. She wasn't sure and she was half asleep in her defense. But after a month of thinking she could finally admit it. "I love you too." She spoke softly as she drifted to sleep.

Hehe...okay this is my first FINISHED fanfiction. I wrote this about the end of May beginning of June. I haven't posted it until now because I've been busy writing others that go along with it. That and I've been scared to. Also, if this becomes popular and people start asking, I will post the others.
